X-Men: Dark Phoenix revealed Jean Grey’s first fiery look

X-Men: Apocalypse’s next sequel X-Men: Dark Phoenix is the upcoming 20th Century Fox movie which will set in the 90’s. The whole movie will be focusing on Jean Grey’s character and how she will fall into her another uncontrollable ‘Dark Phoenix’ avatar.

Recently, EW revealed the very first look of Game of Thrones’s Sophie Turner as fiery Jean Grey through their the First Look Issue and Also, EW shared another picture of her on their official Instagram account and in that new picture, Sophie just fulfills her comic counterpart which looks just awesome. Take a look at below picture

Jean Grey was the iconic mutant throughout the X: Men series and in the last year’s X-Men: Apocalypse, she finally awakens her Phoenix force. But much before that her adult version in the present timeline also seems to be in dark powers. The X-Men: The Last Stand was loosely based on The Dark Phoenix story arc by Chris Claremont and John Byrne. In that movie, Jean unleashed her powers which caused her to suppressed alter ago: The Phoenix.

When Jean’s younger version unleashed her full potential in the Apocalypse, she seems to be crowded in the Phoenix Force already and this upcoming movie will be the confirmation of it which would adopt the Marvel Comics “The Dark Phoenix Saga”. If you don’t know, in the comics, she was exposed to the deadly radiation of a solar flare which enhances her telepathic and telekinetic ability. After her return to Earth from a mission in space, she becomes a being of pure thought and embraces herself into the power of Phoenix.

The movie’s official synopsis is as follows:

“Set in 1992, about 10 years after the events of last year’s X-Men: Apocalypse, Dark Phoenix opens with the X-Men, including Mystique, Beast, Storm, Nightcrawler, and Quicksilver, in a new, unexpected role: national heroes. Charles Xavier even lands on the cover of Time magazine. But his growing ego puts the team at risk. Pride is starting to get the better of him, and he is pushing the X-Men to more extreme missions. After they’re dispatched to space for a rescue mission, a solar flare hits the X-Jet and the surge of energy ignites a malevolent, power-hungry new force within Jean – the Phoenix”

X-Men: Dark Phoenix is expected to hit theatres on November 2, 2018.
