‘Shazam!’: First Look At Kid Superhero From Comic-Con Trailer

Warner Bros. surface online very first trailer of ‘Shazam!’ during San Diego Comic-Con. The trailer shows off kid Billy Batson who can become a powerful adult superhero whenever he wishes by calling Shazam keyword.

New branded as World of DC, Shazam! will be a comedy superhero movie with the absence of DC’s regular dark storyline. The film has taken a lot of references from the New 52 origin story.

The kid came from foster family granted worthy superpowers from The Wizard (played by Hounsou). The movie has filled up with lots of humor. From the trailer, it seems that Billy (performed by Asher Angel) would be in trouble after transforming into adult form (played by Levi Zachary). Because for the first time, he doesn’t know how to deal with these newly obtain superpowers which could surpass Man of Steel.

We all have a superhero inside us; it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s case, by shouting out one word – SHAZAM! – This streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam, courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart – inside a ripped, godlike body – Shazam sets out to test the limits of his skills with the joyful recklessness of a teenager. But he’ll need to master these abilities instantly to fight the inevitable forces of evil dominated by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana.
