Variety recently reports that Walt Disney studio will not rehire James Gunn to direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

In last week, all cast of GOTG team shares an open letter to support James Gunn, but it seems that Disney will not take back their strict decision. As the series of abusive tweets from the former director violets Disney’s values and their family-friendly image, the fire him so unexpectedly.

Even if there is no definitive release date for the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, it will hit theaters in 2020. And it seems that Disney also has no rush to find a new director for the film.

According to them, Jon Favreau (“Iron Man”), Taika Waititi (“Thor: Ragnarok”), or the Russo brothers (“Avengers: Infinity War”) could be best directors for the movie. 2008’s Iron Man was the first MCU movie to set up Avengers: Infinity War and Waititi’s Thor 3 was brilliant one which begins majors changes to Hulk.
