10 Directors Who Should Direct ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3’

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3

After Walt Disney Studio fired Guardians Of The Galaxy potential director James Gunn, Marvel fans are looking for Disney’s new choice of directors.

According to fans (including me), Thor: Ragnarok’s Taika Waititi currently seems to be a most suitable director who should direct Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3. As there is no final word from Disney’s chairman Alan Horn to rehire Gunn, and also Disney doesn’t want to rush for looking new directors.

Previously, James took social media to announced that he has done writing the script for the movie which includes Adam Warlock. According to Marvel’s president Kevin Feige and James, he will play an essential role in the film and ultimately responsible for expanding the universe of cosmic world.

Hence, Hero’s Facts has made one strong list of the ten likely directors to direct GOTG vol. Three that Marvel-Disney needs to take a look take.

Here are 10 potential directors Who Should Direct Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3:

10. JON FAVREAU

jon favreau Iron Man director

Longtime running actor in Hollywood industry, Jon Favreau had made beautiful movies in the past. He has the talent to bring out a fantastic blockbuster which may surprise people all around the world.

He worked as an actor as well as executive producer for Marvel’s some of the movie and currently directing Walt Disney’s live-action The Lion King.

His first Marvel film is 2008’s Iron Man which was a perfect direction for the Marvel Studio. Jon had also directed Zathura: A Space Adventure which based on Sci-Fi world. So by looking at his history, he has way more than the knowledge that needs to be for MCU’s phase 4 films.

Iron Man was his first movie of Marvel Cinematic Universe which leads to Avengers: Infinity War event. His history of working as both actor and director as well as his writing career could be the best combination to direct Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3.

9. JENNIFER YUH NELSON

Director Jennifer Yuh Nelson

Ameican director and storyboard artist, Jennifer Yuh Nelson responsible for her greatest Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda 2 and 3. Jennifer’s talent on both sides will help MCU to achieve their phase 4 dream.

In her career, American director was praise and known for her first directed best-animated feature from DreamWorks Animation. Hence if she got a chance to work again for Disney Studio, then would make the best Guardians of the Galaxy ever than the James Gunn.

8. ALEX PROYAS

Film director Alex Proyas

Alex Proyas knwon for his work for The Crow, Dark City, I, Robot, Knowing, and Gods of Egypt. He had work as director as well as producer. Same as James he also had done screenwriting for his past three movies.

What made me to includes his name in this list is his one Sci-Fi film and that is I, Robot. Alex has bring futuristic life in a much simple way on a big screen. So why not giving him chance to direct GOTG vol.3.

7. RON HOWARD

Ron Howard

Director and filmaker of Solo: A Star Wars Story, Ron Howard has deep knowledge and experience in Hollywood industry.

Being nominated as best director, Jon’s work in recent Star War movie proves that he can also produce sci-fi movies showing outside the earth world.

This is exactly what Marvel fans need to see in GOTG vol.3. As Disney studio planning on searching non-marvel director, hence Ron would be the best choice for them to director such immense MCU film which will explore Adam Warlock’s life.

6. ALFONSO CUARÓN

alfonso cuarón director

One of the recognized directors in Hollywood industry, Alfonso Cuarón Orozco known for his best directing, producing as well as writing 2013’s sci-fi film Gravity.

Alfonso was also responsible for directing Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban which brought the life of Harry’s wizard story into a real action movie.

So if Disney requests such director who had won best director award for Gravity to make Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, then MCU could gain a temporary momentum after firing James Gunn. Besides him, there are also lots of non-MCU directors who have a potential to direct the comic based vast movie such as X-Men: Apocalypse.

5. BRYAN SINGER

BRYAN SINGER director

Who made a possible to begin making of live adaption of X-Men movies on a big screen?

It’s Bryan Singer.

Bryan had been directing X-Men franchise since 2000. Besides Marvel universe, he contributed DC world also by directing, writing, producing 2006’s Superman Returns.

Over the years, Bryan proves that he could take over any comic book series and could make a best live adaption out of it. Therefore being known as a comic book fan, Bryans Singer could be the perfect choice to direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

4. JAMES CAMERON

James Cameron director

Taika Waititi made his career bright after his successful Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok which brings lots of humor and changes to Avengers’ iconic characters.

Thor’s previous franchise had a rough time at the box office, but Waititi made it possible that even Gods like characters tends to brought among Marvel fans. But sadly enough, Disney doesn’t have plans on bringing the same director who had work for Marvel Studio.

So let’s move ahead into next director who was the responsible for Infinity War.

3. TAIKA WAITITI

Thor: Ragnarok director TAIKA WAITITI

Taika Waititi made his career bright after his successful Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok which brings lots of humor and changes to Avengers’ iconic characters.

Thor’s previous franchise had a rough time at the box office but Waititi made it possible that even Gods like characters has a tendency to brought among Marvel fans. But sadly enough, Disney doesn’t have plans on bringing the same director who had work for Marvel Studio.

So let’s move ahead into next director who was the responsible for Infinity War.

2. RUSSO BROTHERS

Russo Brothers Avengers Directors

Hollywood’s iconic brother pair, i.e., Anthony and Joe Russo built up MCU intermediate phase so well by directing Captain America two and three as well Avengers’ two-part infinity war. Hence after firing James Gunn, first director fans wanted to lead GOTG vol. 3 is Russo Brothers.

As no release date confirmed for GOTG and Avengers 4 will require only a few months to complete its production. Hence it would be the better opportunity for them to form another stronger team like Earth’s mightiest heroes.

But sadly enough Disney won’t hiring previous MCU directors and looking for those who haven’t work for Marvel Studio.

1. JAMES GUNN

Guardians Of The Galaxy James Gunn Disney will not hire

Fans, as well as the industry, wants James as a director to film the movie, but what he had done in the past was against Disney Studio’s value.

He has already worked on movie’s script and was almost ready to start the filming. However, casts’ support for James has been growing tremendously. Because recently Drax’s actor Dave Bautista said if Disney doesn’t use Gunn’s prepared script for the movie, then he won’t work as well.

Hence by considering all these facts, Walt Disney Studio again needs to rethink their bold decision and must give him a second chance as everyone deserves the second chance. Am I right?

What do you think guys? Was Disney’s decision right by firing James Gunn? Who is your favorite director to film Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3. Do comments and let us know what do you think.
