Captain America’s two fellows, Sam Wilson (Falcon) & Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier) will come together once again as limited TV series on the Disney streaming service.
According to the reports from Variety, Empire writer Malcolm Spellman will write the series, which currently seem to be in the development stage at upcoming the Disney Streaming service.
Falcon actor Anthony Mackie and Winter Soldier actor Sebastian Stan are the most expected Avengers that who eventually takes the mantle of Captain America after Avengers 4.
As Chris Evans revealed that Avengers 4 would not be his last film, hence it expected that Steve Rogers would make a brief appearance in this upcoming series.
Both potential actors, i.e., Anthony & Sebastian first appeared in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Since then Falcon has been Steve Rogers’ handful sidekick, and on the other hand, Winter Soldier entirely transforms from villain to hero after being gone through trauma in the film.
Why team up only these two characters?
With fans already saw both superheroes team up briefly in Captain America: Civil War against friendly neighborhood Spider-Man and lately in Avengers: Infinity War. But eventually, they vanished in the dust because of Thanos’ finger snap.
Falcon-Winter Soldier’s series will not be the first Disney’s Marvel TV series. Its reported that Marvel-Disney were planning on launching multiple limited series based on characters from Marvel Cinematic Universe.
We already know standalone Scarlet Witch’s planned series will feature God of Mischief Loki who is currently dead (maybe) and now Slash Film states that Marvel is planning to bring Paul Bettany’s Vision back for a more significant role.
Meanwhile, when this is happening, heartbreaking news hits the internet about Iron Fist & Luke Cage’s cancelation after two seasons.
So it is expected that these heroes will come back into Disney’s Streaming service. Therefore, it is safe to assume that Iron Fist-Luke Cage would meet Avengers in some time in the future.
