Creator of Arrow Season 6, Marc Guggenheim recently talk with EW about Thea’s possible comeback in the series. Also, he confirmed season 7’s possible renewal.
EW asked him,
The show hasn’t yet been renewed, but are you pretty confident that Arrow will return for season 7?
Yeah, we’re very, very confident. We’re extremely confident. It would be nice to get the formal pick-up, Mark Pedowitz if you’re listening. It would be nice to book directors, is all I’m saying. But we’ve already started talking about season 7. We actually knew a lot of what we were gonna do for season 7 very early on in season 6. Right now, we’re in the process of breaking a season finale that is not a series finale by any means. We’re fully expecting it, just haven’t gotten it yet.
So it seems that currently, they are only focusing on making their season’s finale where Caity Lotz is going to make an appearance once again.
Marc also not sure whether they are really extending the series because Thea’s actress Willa Holland is out from the series. Don’t know if she would agreed to come back again in future.
In episode 16, she went on an expedition along with Roy and Nyssa to destroyed remaining Lazarus Pits.
But the creator of Arrow also confirmed that it would be a shame if they are not planning to show us their adventurous storyline.
I love this idea of Thea, Roy, and Nyssa making an unlikely trio, exploring a different part of the Arrow-verse, a different corner of the Arrow-verse. It would be a shame not to revisit it.
Like Vixen (Megalyn Echikunwoke) who made her entry into live-action series from the CW’s animated series, Arrow’s next season 7 could be released in the form of animated, comic books, and prose novels.
Therefore, only time will tell if finale episode ends with a cliffhanger or not. Because that’s the only clue to guess about next season.
Arrow airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
